Tanagh OETC can deliver Remote Emergency Care First Aid Courses to groups depending on numbers. REC is a tried and tested practical approach to first aid. The emphasis on our REC course is practical hands on training and we can guarantee we will provide you with strategies, knowledge and confidence you need to manage properly in and emergency.
Level 2 Outdoor First Aid
A two day course that is recognised by the MLTUK, BCU, RYA and other outdoor governing bodies. On this course we focus on dealing with incidents far from medical help with the minimal equipment you would carry while participating in or leading outdoor activities. Again the emphasis is on practical skills with plenty of hands-on practice including lots of outdoor scenarios. This course can be tailored to the requirements of special interest groups, for example climbers, mountain leaders, paddlesports instructors or divemasters.
Level 3 AED extension to Outdoor First Aid
This one-day extension to the level 2 course trains participants in additional skills, including the use of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs).
Remote Emergency Care is a certifying body – our courses are approved or recognised by many organisations:
• The UK Health and Safety Executive approves Remote Emergency Care to provide First Aid at Work courses (HSE approval number 45/04).
• Our two- or three-day level 2 courses and four-day level 3 courses are suitable for outdoor instructors, and meet the first aid training requirements of the major outdoor National Governing Bodies (MLTUK, BOS, BCU, RYA, etc).
Also 1 day and 2 day REC refresher courses available.
